Where to Find Luxury Accommodation in Cornwall

We are back again – with a new post of the best accommodation choices in Cornwall, this time luxury accommodation! I can no way afford luxury at the moment unless there is a good deal on, however wouldn’t you just love to experience it just once in your life? I sure would. These accommodation choices in Cornwall are all 5 star and can be afforded by anyone as they do have some fab deals on at the moment.

I don’t think that I have to say it again about how much I love Cornwall and think everyone needs to visit once in their life. The south west coast has some of the most exquisite architecture and homes, so obviously I have to include the best accommodation to stay in if you ever consider going!

1 – Clipper Cove Apartment
I mentioned previously that, I believe that self-catered accommodation is a great way for a trip. You have your own privacy and makes the trip a little more personal, we always hired out cottages and had crazy times playing all sorts of game. Located in Praa Sands, away from the “typical” hot spots in Cornwall, is a little paradise away from the hustle and bustle. If you are visiting in summer, if there is even a heat-wave there is air-con which I presume was fab this summer! Or you can chill out on the balcony. I love Cornish apartments with a balcony, it is so dreamy.

This gorg apartment includes 3 bedrooms, living room, 3 bathrooms (selling point for me) and a flat-screen television. Perfect amount of bathrooms and space to hang out after a busy day exploring the town. Nearby towns are Truro, my personal favourite as it is a great place for a day of shopping and hanging out with the family. There is a cathedral, galleries and local shops to choose from. Land’s End is 13 miles away, some amazing view points (try and go on a sunny day). Make sure to check out Clipper Cover Apartments.

2 – Anacapri

I don’t know about you but already, with it’s name, I want to visit it sounds so intriguing. This beautiful bed and breakfast is set in one of my favourite towns of Falmouth. I find that Falmouth has something for everyone in the same proximity, there is a harbour and numerous beaches for everyone (especially the kids), shops and bars as well as marine museums. It is simply gorgeous. Anacapri has a great view of Gyllyngvase Beach, I must say although it is busy because there is so much space it is one of my favourite beaches, something about it. Do make use of the coastal walk to different beaches in the area, there are multiple views to take advantage of … get the Instagram shots.

Now onto Anacapri, has en-suite rooms, lounge, licensed bar, sun terrace and a car park. Already the sun terrace and bar is calling my name for a cocktail or two. Couples on booking.com have loved this place, so hint hint to any boyfriends/girlfriends etc… out there looking to surprise their other halves. Top-tip … try and book a room with a sea view and get some brownie points!! Your welcome. Single or not visit here. One of the top luxury accommodation in Cornwall.

3 – Sea Breeze
St. Austell is one of those locations that we love to go to for a family day out, as we lived in Cornwall we try to go somewhere sporadically because we don’t want to over do it. St. Austell has so much charm and is perfect for any type of traveller. Describing their apartments as exclusive and stylish, there are plenty of views of St. Austell Bay. There are two bedrooms, one with an en-suite, lounge, kitchen and a dining area. Enough space for you to enjoy your holiday. I think this type of holiday will be great for families that want a personal vibe but also anyone at all to be honest.

One of the best parts of St. Austell is the fact that it is so close to The Eden Project, great for kids as there are tons of activities and moments that provide some sort of education but fun at the same time. There are also some fab concerts there as well, so consider staying in this apartment if you are going to a concert there – also consider visiting the Lost Gardens of Heligan. You are also close to transport connections including trains and coaches.

4 – The Park
I have never been to Mawgan Porth before, however from seeing the variety of luxury accommodation in Cornwall The Park has it was hard to forget. There are lodges, houses and summerhouses … so you know … choose out of the three! Ready to hear what each choice offers? Okay … kitchen, dining area, lounge, bathroom and 3 bedrooms. The Park also offers a sauna, hot tub and a indoor pool. Yes please to all three. Of course there is an on-site restaurant serving local produce including cakes and puddings (had to mention that as I have a sweet tooth).

You would be in a fab location, only 5 miles away from Newquay where you can surf along Fistral Beach and my favourite town of Padstow is only 10 miles away. When I was younger, we always got a ferry from Rock over to Padstow it just seemed like a different world there because of how quintessential and charming the town is. It is what you expect from a typical Cornish town – all the good things of course. I mean why would I put the bad reasons on my luxury accommodation in Cornwall list?

5 – Horizons

Okay, let me tell you, Horizons has stepped up the game and giving us what we can only hope for and more. Not only is there a sun terrace, swimming pool and a sauna… nope… but a gym as well for anyone wanting to do a quick workout before dinner or bed. This apartment has a balcony, sitting area, dining area, kitchen and …. AN INDOOR POOL. WHAT. Where can I sign up? Who wants to go and split the bill? Omg a blogging trip, okay I am getting way too excited over something that may never happen. I said may … not never… got to be optimistic.

This place is great for families, because as I was reading up the location and accommodation, it said that it is popular for horse riding and golfing … so fab for all the family. If there is an unfortunate injury the hospital is not too far away. However, on a positive note there is a zoo close by and places to do some water sports. Again, located in the ever so popular Newquay there is no reason to say no because as obvious as it is, it is a popular town in this post.

6 – Shorthorn Apartment

I personally have never been to Carlyon Bay, however I have heard nothing but good things about it from my family members. It is within close proximity to other popular destinations including Newquay - only 18 miles away - and it a hidden gem within the county. Top tip for you: it has been rated 10/10 with couples so a good choice for a romantic weekend break away with the loved one. Why is Shorthorn Apartments on the list? According to booking.com, it has been voted one of the best rated accommodations in the town
It is an apartment, something I have mentioned in the past that is one of my top tips when I recommend someone to visit Cornwall. The apartment has a terrace - already won me over, free wi-fi, kitchen and a flat-screen TV. There is nothing better than after a full day attempting to surf, than to watch family films in a cosy apartment.

7 – St. Ives Harbour Hotel and Spa

Again, another one of my favourite hotels to talk about seeing as it is close to my previous home. Watching over Porthminster Beach, a popular beach within the St. Ives Community and tourists from around the world. That is just one reason to stay in this fab hotel. Located right in the middle of town you have the opportunity to stroll around the cobbled streets, shopping in local shops and tasting the local Cornish pasties. Again, would it be a luxury hotel without a spa? Of course not, they have their HarSPA. To be honest the thought of having a massage/facial seems like bliss to me, especially being by the pool with the views they have.
Being in the centre of town, you have access to activities including boat hire, kayaking and surfing. It can be a very adventurous and windy day in thee town. In consistent to the spa, they have their own HarBAR which sells food alongside having a terrace. I am not a seafood person, however St. Ives has great local product that us worth a try. According to their website, their Fizz and Chips is the one to choose - just visit The Harbour Hotel.

8 – Carbis Bay Hotel and Estate

I used to live about 5 minutes away from this hotel and know a lot about it as it is right on the beach which is a beautiful little paradise. Ready to hear what this insane place has to offer? It is within 125 acres…. Yes you heard that right, their own beach, spa facilities and a yacht with dining options. I’m sold are you? Yes I did stalk their website because it looks just too good to believe. If you are wanting luxury, this is the obvious choice no? I didn’t even realise just how good this hotel was until I read up on it, I lived quite a casual and comfortable life in Cornwall so can’t believe these choices were down the road.

I spent numerous hours downCarbis Bay beach, there tends to be less people there compared to St. Ives beach and they have beach sides café’s. If you are feeling adventurous there are plenty of opportunities to do water sports, we have done kayaking in the past. For those, like myself, who would rather relax there is a spa whilst the others try kayaking! You also have access to the Coastal Path, which offers views of St. Ives, Lelant and more of the idyllic coast line.

 9 – Mesmear Luxury Cottages

A little warning with this one, Polzeath is one of my favourite destinations in Cornwall. We visited Polzeath every October for at least 10 years, we rented a cottage which has a ocean view and was only a 30 second walk to the beach. We spent many moments playing games, eating so much food and trying to pull wetsuits off – it was a struggle. Polzeath is the perfect place to have luxury with the Mesmear LuxuryCottages which include free wifi, outdoor swimming pool/fitness centre and a barbecue facilities .. basically a dream. As if it couldn’t get any better …. There is a hot tub. I’m sold, are you? (silly question).

Polzeath may seem far from the next village, however there are some great towns nearby to consider visiting including Padstow and Newquay. You can get to Padstow via ferry, which is always a fun experience for all the family. We have some great memories there including myself when I was really young holding onto a random mans hand thinking it was my dad … never live that down even though I was too young to remember. I recommend considering visiting this gorgeous part of the county and staying in a luxury cottage.

10 – Newquay Holiday Lodges

Onto our final luxury accommodation in Cornwall choice, and I have mentioned it enough but we are ending it on Newquay Holiday Lodges. There is lots on offer including an outdoor AND indoor pool, free wifi and spa. It can hold up to 10 people, so great if you want a family get together and there are attractions for all the family. This can include a childrens play area, a tennis court and pitch and putt golf. This gorgeous lodge is award-winning, so must be worth visiting….The airport is only 3.7 miles from the Airport, which makes it easier if you can fly to the destination.

As mentioned before, Newquay is a very popular destination for a reason. There is a lot on offer including award winning beaches, fish and chip restaurants and attractions for the children. There really is something for all the family, especially staying in a lodge. There is nothing more cosy than staying in a lodge, it is an absolute dream of mine. It is nice to see a mixture of accommodation in Cornwall as there are so many types of travellers, and of course not one will suit all. I hope there was enough choice for you in this post!

----------------------------------------------

How did you find this list? I hope at least some of you found this useful, there are some gorgeous luxury accommodation in Cornwall that it was hard to narrow it down to just 10! I can’t help it, I am completely biased when it comes to Cornwall. I am very much looking forward to going back to visit the county to see family, who knows may treat myself to a weekend or nights stay in here! Or better yet, treat the parents.

This week has been HECTIC at work, but it is coming up to Christmas so everyone is celebrating. Has your Christmas Parties happened yet? Can’t wait for mine and to get a few days off to celebrate with my girlies, love singing along to Fairytale of New York whilst sipping down on a Prosecco! 9 days to go!
