Hotel Viladomat By Silken Review

Hey everyone!
As you may have seen over my social media, it was my 21st Birthday on Friday! My mother came over from England to spend a few days with me and we booked Hotel Viladomat.
For 3 nights with breakfast the price came to 220 Euros I believe or something around that amount, for a centrally located 3 star hotel, around Valentines Day …. That’s a great deal!
After picking my mum up at the airport, we arrived at the hotel around 11am, expecting to leave our luggage and go wander around town until we could check in. Amazingly, we saw the receptionist get 2 key cards and say our room was ready, we couldn’t get in the lift fast enough!

The hotel entrance is gorgeous, its modern and charming. To the left you will find the restaurant where it is open, clean and simplistic.

The room was AMAZING, even the hallway we got excited about! It is huge, compared to our last hotel here where we couldn’t move, it is triple the size of my room in my flat! The beds were 2 singles put together, when I say single beds, I mean big single beds. It is also extremely comfy, the best sleep I have had in a while. I currently sleep on a small single bed, with a cheap frame and wooden planks to hold the mattress. Its not important to me because I am in Barcelona and I will sleep on the worst bed because I love it here. I will admit, it was nice to be on this bed!
There was great storage for clothes with hangers, a desk with a mini-bar and TV. The channels are all in Spanish apart from a few. Disney is available in English and so is CNN. Our evenings/siestas were watching Disney and watching Donald Trumps press conference… should have bought my laptop with Netflix!
The bathroom was also incredible, everything is so clean and presentable. You also get great freebies! Not just the normal, conditioner, shampoo and gel. You had combs, shaving kit, dental kit and tissues. They were also in great packaging, the simple things please me!

Everyday, staff came to clean the room, they do a great job and make the room smell amazing. To be honest, the hotel in general is so clean and smells great. I need to know what they use!
Can we all also appreciate this view! It was amazing waking up to this everyday, the weather was incredible too after a few days of rain so it was even more better!

Warning remember to close the curtains when you change, becomes some rooms can look into your room …. I made that mistake! You also get free wifi for the time that you are there too!
If you are here for a business trip or have a spare day in Barcelona, read my post of how to spend 24 Hours in Barcelona.
Breakfast will ALWAYS be my favourite part of hotels, whether in England, Spain, Turkey or Cyprus… it’s the best part! Spanish breakfasts are sooo nice as well, you will find traditional Jamon Serrano, Cheese and Bread. You will also find croissants, cereal and English breakfast options.
Obviously, as a foodie, I had several plates because when in Barcelona…
Side note the croissants are amazing, I do not like the loaves of bread here in Barcelona, but they do croissants well!
