An Introduction to Barcelona's Beaches

Hey Guys,

Barcelona's beaches are one of the most amazing beaches I have been on! It's great because its got such a long coast line and each beach is different! Each beach has so much energy and atmosphere on it I love them all.

I have visited 3 different beaches here, Barceloneta, Vila Olimpica and Playa de la Nova Icaria. I will explain what each beach is like so that anyone interested in visiting Barcelona will know what beaches are perfect for you.

I couldn’t visit Tibidabo without mentioning Joey Tribbiani!

Hey guys!
This blog starts off one night watching Netflix (Spanish one) and came across Friends probably actually most definitely my favourite TV programme EVER! It was the episode where Joey was telling Ross his story for wooing a girl. The story where he goes backpacking around Europe, and he hiked up Mount Tibidabo and saw a women crying... we all know the story!
Anyway, the next day my friend suggested we go to Tibidabo and we are all friend’s fans and we had to go especially because it’s such an iconic episode but also we want to see all Barcelona has to offer!

A Step to Step Guide to Parc Guell

Hey Guys,
When I first got told I was moving to Barcelona I immediately started to research and plan (I am an organised freak). I started planning where I wanted to go, and first on my list was Parc Guell.
As much as I love lazying about on the beach after a weeks work I wanted to visit all Barcelona had to offer including the architecture.  Parc Guell is one of the major works by Antoni Gaudi, an amazing Spanish Architect. His work is incredible, to me a mixture of rustic and mosaic. The thing that surprised me was how big it was (sounds silly I know), but when you search Parc Guell the images that come up are of the mosaic wall but there is so much more to it than that. The side we entered was on a walk way and you go across these rubbled paths to which you find the most amazing views, and we found this (don’t laugh at how I describe it). This small mountain of bricks and rocks almost like a viewing point for any incoming visitors (back in the day – like I said I cannot describe it even my dad laughed at me when trying to explain). The views you see are amazing. Walking up the back pathways you come across Gaudi´s house and the museum and so many more beautiful sights.

Travel Plans 2017

Hello again,

So this past week has been exciting! I have finally decided and booked where I want to go next summer!

Working where I do really has inspired me to work for what I want that I can do anything I want to do once I put my mind to it! I have always wanted to work abroad in a resort because I am only young once and when I go back to uni for fourth year I want to settle and focus purely on getting a good career.

So on the 24th of May 2017 I will be departing from the UK to Zante! I have been to Ayia Napa and I currently live in Spain so I wanted to go some where I have never been before! Also, I heard Zante is one of the nicest resorts (after Ibiza but I cant spend that much at Ibiza!). I will be going with a company called Playaway who I have known for a couple of years and I have heard nothing but good stuff about them!

My (not so) Secret Crush on Missguided and Miss Pap

Hey guys,

So the problem with being a girl is the constant social media roaming on Missguided and Miss Paps Instagram accounts.

The reason it sucks is because I have limited clothes out here due to luggage restrictions and all I want to do is buy clothes! But there are 3 problems to that...

1. Apparently I need a NIE to accept deliveries and I don't get that till later this month.
2. Delivery charges to Spain can be quite hefty
3. I'm trying to budget

So I'm just gonna make a summer wish list and just keep dreaming!

The Good and The Bad

Wow… what a week ive had that’s all I can say! So this weekend I am having much needed rest! After a hectic weekend and a even crazier week at work I am looking forward to just chilling at home tomorrow sorting uni stuff and blog content and being on the beach Sunday! Camp  Nou is next week due to the fact of timing, rest and budgeting (another thing I am struggling with but getting better with each week).
So, last weekend we were treated to a 3 day weekend due to the Spanish Public Holiday called San Juan. I´ve got to say the Spanish know how to celebrate a public holiday and it puts English Public Holidays to shame!
